Brief Description
As a follow-up to the fourth World Conference on Women held in Beijing in 1995, the Government of Pakistan launched a National Plan of Action for Women in August 1998. The Plan addresses the twelve critical areas of concern outlined in the Beijing Platform for Action. With regard to violence against women, it proposes measures to be taken with regard to sexual harassment in the workplace, and domestic violence.
